Weekend Oasis

What a whirlwind. My first module of nursing school is finished. One down and 14 to go. On Thursday a some girls from class and I went to a condo on Pine View lake. We enjoyed boating in the afternoon and then headed back to the condo for dinner and a soak in the hot tub.

I had really been looking forward to a break, and it was fantastic. It's been so long since I've not had a deadline or a project or a time commitment. Like usual this June, the weekend was full of rain. We caught a few glimpses of sunshine in between the rain clouds. There's something so nourishing about being in the water on a sunny day. Maybe I was meant to be a fish.

There are eight girls in my nursing class. I really like it because we're off to a great start. We all get along great and actually enjoy class together. Laura, a friend from church has been so great to let me stay in her condo during the week so I don't have to drive back and forth from Logan to Ogden every day. It's helpful because I actually get a bit of studying done when I stay down there. The hardest thing is not ever being home. It already feels like I'm only seeing Lauri in passing, and I miss her. I keep reminding myself that the end is in sight, only 12 months to go.
