Before we went to the pool we skipped over to A&W to get some ice cream cones, my favorite! I'm not sure why we thought Macie needed her own cone, but it turned out to be a messy extravaganza.

Slumber Party

I love these girls! Jada and Macie came for a sleepover and it was quite an adventure. Jada and I set out our blankets in the living room and Lauri had Macie in her playpen next to our bed. We stayed up late eating popcorn, watching movies, telling secrets and giggling. Once we finally went to bed Jada said, "Um Andy, I don't think it's very comfortable on the ground." So she slept on the couch and I slept on the green chair. Around 3am Macie woke up and so I switched places with Noni (when Jada was learning to talk she couldn't say her L's and when she said Lauri it came out Noni, it just stuck after that). Macie was such a pill, she didn't go back to sleep for four hours. The next morning we had waffles and fruit and danced to oldies. It was a blast!

Where does the time go?

Laura, Sophie, Emily and Lauri... fun times.
These guys are such great friends. It's been wonderful to spend so much time with them this summer. I can hardly believe summer is almost over. Laura and her kids left last weekend for Delaware and Emily and her family head to Palm Springs this weekend. I don't know what we'll do with all our time.
However, Lauri's parents get back from their vacation this weekend and on Monday we'll be driving back to Nebraska with them. And I guess Lauri still has the middle school mission trip to look forward to :} and I'll be starting class the first week of August. Just when you think your life is starting to calm down, it just gets busy again.
